Evening menu

As Smoke and Mirrors Restaurant is an independently run restaurant, the menu is subject to change. It is advised to check the menu before your visit.

We require a £10pp deposit on tables over 4 guests, this will be removed from the final total of the bill and is non-refundable if the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the booking. Reservations that require a deposit will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid.

Prawns in Garlic and Vermouth

Fresh king prawns, garlic, parsley and vermouth butter sauce on toasted sourdough


Marinated Fior Di Latte Mozzarella

Mozzarella Fior Di Latte marinaded in garlic, fresh herbs, chilli and olive oil, served with piperade of red bell peppers and capers

Parfait of Duck and Cognac

Whipped parfait of duck and cognac, candied almonds, toasted brioche, and beetroot puree


Goat's Cheese Sorbet

Goat’s cheese sorbet, chilled pea and asparagus tartare, gazpacho of tomato and pesto oil



Cod Loin à L’Anglaise

Fine breaded cod loin, pommes écrasée, sauce tartare, baby leaf spinach and lemon


18 Hour Pork Bellu

Slow cooked belly of pork, grilled peach, cabbage, creamed potatoes, cloud crackling and jus


Halloumi Filo Parcel

Grilled red pepper, courgette and halloumi parcel served on tabbouleh with tagine and apricot sauce (V) - vegan option available upon request



Duo of Lamb

Lamb rump, slow braised lamb bonbon in crisp panko, tomato, aubergine and courgette gratin, rocket and mint pesto


Ribeye Steak Au Poivre

10oz Ribeye of British beef, peppercorn butter, ale pickled onion ring , fricassée of wild woodland mushrooms, horseradish creamed potatoes



Sticky Toffee Pudding

Sticky toffee pudding, served with honeycomb ice cream and toffee popcorn


Crème Brûlée

Madagascan vanilla crème brûlée, rhubarb jammie dodger



Vanilla bean ice cream, freshly ground coffee espresso and chocolate shortbread
